Sanitation, Groundskeeper, 1st shift
Our Sanitation Team is an integral part of our production operations through timely and proper cleaning of all scheduled production lines and maintaining a clean production facility effectively performing all Master Sanitation schedule assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Clearing away plant debris, weeds, and trash around and behind the property, parking lot, pool area, patios, walkways, and planter boxes.
- Clean all equipment entering the washroom by written procedure (i.e., dismantle, proper protection of electrical components, clean effectively and reassemble with all guards, bolts and parts safely replaced.) The equipment should be visibly clean.
- Maintain and display a working knowledge of the proper procedure for cleaning all production lines in the Processing area.
- Perform cleaning functions using cleaning chemicals and solutions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all dry-cleaning procedures.
- Clean up after cleaning an area or line. Maintain clean equipment & return to proper storage area.
- Attention to safety for themselves and others: checking areas of the line where others are working before starting equipment.
- Able to stop and start all conveyors and equipment in Packaging and Processing with special attention to emergency stops (E-Stop buttons).
- Knowledge to effectively complete all documentation/paperwork for work completed to support Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS). Understand the workings and purpose of the MSS.
- Knowledge to follow procedures and policies: Food Safety Lock Out, Cleaning and Inspection pre-operational and post cleaning, Lock/Out Tag Out procedure and Pest Sighting/Reporting procedure.
- Trained to use applicable classes of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and must maintain valid certification.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area at all times.
- Comply with all GMP requirements.
Requirements:
- Previous Sanitation experience in a food production facility preferred.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Ability to work independently as well as working well with others, fostering a team atmosphere.
- Ability to work safely with chemicals and solutions.
- Successfully complete required trainings. Training to be provided by the company in: Lock Out/Tag Out. Forklift and Scissor Operation, Confined Spaces (if applicable), Chemical Training, Plant GMP Policies and Procedures, and Allergens Awareness Training.
