Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively to maintain a positive, team-focused environment
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with all GMP requirements
- Review production schedules to prepare equipment setup and cleaning
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently
- Ensure proper coding, setup, and operation of all packaging equipment
- Inspect wrappers, conveyors, and equipment for optimal performance
- Identify and implement waste reduction opportunities
- Complete daily logs and required documentation accurately
- Monitor equipment for maintenance needs and report issues promptly
- Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) as required
- Maintain and manage equipment setup, storage, and program updates
- Support packaging line efficiency and maintain established speeds
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development on new products
- Assist in training new Set-Up Mechanics
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and line mechanics
Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in packaging
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequent standing, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs (up to 100 lbs with assistance)
- Exposure to dust, humidity, and temperature variations
