This position is a skilled industrial sanitation role responsible for food safety, regulatory compliance, and production equipment sanitation. Duties focus on specialized cleaning of manufacturing equipment and processing environments and should not be considered traditional janitorial or custodial work.

Available Shifts:

1st: Sun-Thurs 7am-3pm (start rate $18.91 with 6m and 1 yr increase) 
2nd: Sun-Thurs 3pm-11pm (start rate $18.91 with shift differential and 6m and 1 yr increase) 
3rd: Sun-Thurs 11pm-7am (start rate $18.91 with shift differential and 6m and 1 yr increase) 

Weekend 1st: Fri, Sat, Sun 7am-7pm (start rate $21.01 with and 6m and 1 yr increase) 
Weekend 2nd: Fri, Sat, Sun 7pm-7am (start rate $21.01 with shift differential and 6m and 1 yr increase) 


Position Summary

The Industrial Sanitation Technician is responsible for the specialized cleaning, sanitizing, inspection, and preparation of production equipment and manufacturing areas to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This position requires knowledge of sanitation processes, chemical handling, equipment disassembly and reassembly, and contamination prevention. This is a skilled manufacturing support role and is not a janitorial or custodial position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed cleaning and sanitizing of manufacturing equipment, processing lines, conveyors, mixers, tanks, and production machinery.
  • Safely disassemble and reassemble production equipment for cleaning and inspection.
  • Apply sanitation chemicals according to established procedures, safety requirements, and concentration specifications.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections to verify equipment cleanliness and readiness for production.
  • Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
  • Identify and report equipment deficiencies, potential contamination risks, and sanitation-related concerns.
  • Complete sanitation documentation and maintain accurate records to support regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Utilize specialized cleaning tools, sanitation systems, and equipment to achieve validated cleaning standards.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to ensure operational readiness and product integrity.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and proper chemical handling practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or regulated-environment sanitation preferred.
  • Knowledge of sanitation chemicals, cleaning validation processes, and food safety requirements.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment and use sanitation tools and technology.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance standards.
  • Ability to read and follow sanitation procedures, SOPs, and safety documentation.
